26-year-old woman found dead in Sharjah free zone

Sharjah: Sharjah Police have launched an investigation into the death of a woman whose body was found at a labour accommodation in the Sharjah Airport Free Zone on Wednesday night.

The body of the Nepalese woman aged 26 was found by workers at the accommodation, a police official told Gulf News.

Police believe that the woman had committed suicide, the official said.

A team of police patrol and CID officers and paramedics rushed to the scene and the woman was transferred to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her body was taken to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy.

Police have summoned witnesses for further investigation.
