Portugal groom’s Dhoom-inspired wedding dance goes viral, wins praise from Hrithik Roshan

A wedding in Portugal has captured global attention after a groom surprised his bride with a high-energy dance performance to the iconic Bollywood song ‘Dhoom Again’ from Dhoom 2.

The groom, accompanied by his groomsmen, hit the stage with impressive moves that paid homage to Hrithik Roshan’s legendary choreography — and even earned a reaction from the actor himself.

Viral moment with a Bollywood twist

The viral video, shared on Instagram by the account @letteringbysav, begins with the groom stepping onto the dance floor before being joined by his groomsmen. As the beat of ‘Dhoom Again’ kicks in, the groom launches into the signature hook step, attempting to mirror Hrithik’s flawless dance style. The caption read: “They all ate that omg. Groom surprised the bride with this dance.”

Hrithik Roshan responded to the clip with a simple yet delighted comment: “Love it.”

Social media quickly lit up, with viewers praising the groom’s effort, energy, and celebration of Indian culture. One user joked, “Hrithik has been real silent ever since this was posted,” while another wrote, “The Indian government has to give him his Aadhaar card.”

More than just one performance

The fun didn’t stop there. In another video shared by the same account, the groom and his crew are seen dancing to ‘Desi Girl’ from Dostana, once again earning cheers online.

The film Dhoom 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, and Bipasha Basu, was released in 2006.

And because Hrithik’s moves in this Bollywood classic never get old, here’s the original performance you’ll want to watch again:

What’s next for Hrithik Roshan?

Hrithik Roshan is set to return as superspy Kabir in War 2, starring alongside Jr NTR. Part of the YRF Spy Universe, the film also features Kiara Advani in a key role.
