UAE emphasises the urgent need to resolve disputes through diplomacy and dialogue.
Abu Dhabi: The UAE has voiced deep concern over escalating tensions in the region, particularly following the targeting of Iranian nuclear facilities, urging an immediate halt to any further escalation to prevent the situation from spiraling into deeper instability.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE emphasized the urgent need to resolve disputes through diplomacy and dialogue. The UAE stressed the importance of pursuing comprehensive frameworks that promote stability, prosperity, and justice across the region.
The UAE also renewed its call for the international community to intensify efforts toward a broad and sustainable resolution to what it described as “sensitive and dangerous developments,” warning that continued unrest poses grave risks to both the region and its people.
The ministry urged the United Nations and the UN Security Council to shoulder their responsibilities and take necessary steps to address long-standing crises, now at a critical juncture and increasingly threatening regional and global stability.
“The UAE believes that wisdom and responsibility are critical in this moment,” the statement read, adding that meaningful engagement and negotiation are essential to addressing pivotal challenges. The ministry also stressed the importance of drawing on the region’s past experiences and conflicts, and the lessons they offer in averting further escalation.
