Qatari ambassador leaves Cairo abruptly

Qatar's ambassador to Egypt Saif Bin Moqadam Al Buainain left Cairo abruptly Tuesday, returning to Qatar. He refused to give any comments about the nature of his departure, official sources at Cairo airport confirmed.

The sources said that Al Buainain left through the VIP lounge on a plane flying directly to Doha. He avoided possible conversations with the passengers of the regular travel hall.

There was no prior indication that the ambassador was going to leave in accordance with the procedures for the use of the VIP lounge, the sources said.
