Two vehicles collide in northern Jordan city of Mafraq

Dubai: At least eight people were killed and 13 injured in a traffic accident on Tuesday in Jordan’s Northern Badia region of Mafraq Governorate, the state-run Petra news agency reported.

The accident occurred when two vehicles collided. Police and Civil Defence teams were dispatched immediately to the scene and the injured were taken to nearest hospitals.

An investigation into the accident is underway, Petra reported, citing a statement by Jordan’s Public Security Department.
