Abu Dhabi: Riyadh police have arrested a Yemeni resident for allegedly providing illegal medical services, treating illegal workers and storing medicines in two apartments in Saudi Arabia’s capital, police said.

Major Khaled Al Kreidis , assistant media spokesman for the Riyadh police, said the man, in his 60s, was running two apartments in the ministry and Nasiriyah neighbourhoods, one as a clinic to treat illegal workers, mostly from Ethiopia, and the other as a warehouse to store medicines illegally obtained from pharmaceutical companies.

More than 30,000 packages of medicines and medical supplies and 800,000 riyals were confiscated, Major Al Kreidis added.

The man was arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution.
