Anyone found dealing in drugs is liable for the death penalty
Saudi Arabia: A Saudi man was arrested after he appeared in a video documenting his possession of drugs and liquor, police said.
Riyadh Police said, in a statement that the person documented his possession of drugs and liquor, while driving his vehicle on a highway in Riyadh, noting that he boasted about it and published the video clip.
The police said the man, in his 30s, had been remanded in custody and will be moved to the public prosecution for further questioning and trial.
Saudi Arabia imposes extreme penalties for the import, manufacture, possession, and use of both alcohol and illegal drugs. In fact, those found guilty can expect lengthy prison time, heavy fines, and possibly deportation.
Anyone found dealing in drugs in Saudi Arabia is liable for the death penalty.
