Makkah governor to wash Kaaba on Monday

Makkah: On behalf of King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia, Governor of Makkah Prince Khalid Al Faisal will wash the Holy Kaaba on Monday.

The walls of the Kaaba will be washed with Zamzam water mixed with rose water, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

On this occasion, Shaikh Dr Abdul Rahman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Sudais, General President of Affairs of the Holy Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque, said that the concerned authorities were preparing Zamzam water mixed with rosewater and all washing requirements for the ritual, noting that the washing of the cuboid-shape structure is a practice that the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) carried out when he and his companions conquered Makkah.
