All suspects charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, taken to prosecution

Abu Dhabi: Saudi security authorities have arrested five Saudi guards, employed by a security company to transport money, after they allegedly conspired to steal one million riyals in cash, police said.
The mastermind of the heist, a former guard of the company, aged 40, agreed with the co-conspirator guards on the armoured truck to steal the money as they were feeding the cash into an automated teller machine (ATM) in Asir, southwest Saudi Arabia, Lieutenant Colonel Zaid Al Dabbash, spokesperson of the Asir Police, said.
Investigations led to the suspects, who were arrested hours after the heist in Khamis Mushait, a city in south-west Saudi Arabia, Lieutenant Colonel Al Dabbash added.
