Dubai: Saudi Arabia reported 1158 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 13930, the Ministry of Health announced on Thursday (April 23).
Meanwhile, the ministry reported 113 recoveries today, with total recoveries in the kingdom at 1925. There are 93 cases in intensive care.
The ministry also confirmed 7 deaths, bringing the total number of deaths in the kingdom to 121.
Ramadan
Ramadan is expected to start on Friday April 24, Saudi supreme court called for Ramadan moon sighting to be on Thursday, while Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz on Wednesday approved the holding of Taraweeh prayers at the two holy mosques in Mecca and Medina without public attendance amid preventive measures due to the spread of coronavirus.
Curfew time during the holy month of Ramadan was amended to 9am in the morning until 5pm, for cities which are under curfew restrictions.
