Dubai: Starting April 22, motorists who park in spaces designated for people of determination will face severe penalties under new amendments to Kuwait’s Traffic Law.
Drivers who settle the violation through reconciliation will face a KD 150 fine. However, those who choose to contest the violation in court could face much harsher consequences. The court may impose a prison sentence of up to three years, along with fines ranging from KD 600 to KD 1,000.
The Ministry of Interior emphasizsed the importance of respecting these designated spaces, noting that they are reserved specifically for individuals with mobility challenges.
The Ministry also stressed that complying with these regulations reflects a driver’s awareness and respect for the community.
