Kuwait: Woman stabbed in face by domestic worker

Cairo: A Kuwaiti woman sponsor was stabbed by her Asian domestic worker four times who then fled, Kuwaiti media reported.

The 61-year-old woman was found lying in a pool of blood in the family’s house after the man inflicted stabs to her face.

The woman was transferred to hospital and admitted into an operations room in an attempt to save her life, a security source said.

She was later reported to be in stable condition.

The case was registered as an attempted murder as police launched a manhunt for the fugitive assailant whose nationality was not given.

The motive for the attack was not immediately clear.
