Dubai: Civil defence teams in Kuwait put out a massive fire that broke out in a tent market in the Al Rai area, southwest of Kuwait City, state news agency KUNA reported on Monday.

Four firefighting units were immediately sent to the scene and managed to contain the blaze, Kuwait Fire Force said in a statement.

“The fire had spread across nearly 4,000 square metres with damage mostly affecting tents’ building materials and camping products,” a statement said.

No casualities have been reported.
