Dubai: Bahrain reported 87 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2,810, according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry added that 72 expatriate workers were among the 87 new cases, with 15 of them getting the virus from direct contact with active cases.

It added that 28 COVID-19 patients have recovered fully from the symptoms of the virus, pushing the total number of patients recovered so far to 1,218.

The Kingdom has reported no new deaths from the virus, keeping the toll at 8.

The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism issued a clarification on the government’s decision to extend the nationwide closures until May 7.

The following facilities will continue to be closed: cinemas, private sports centres, private swimming pools, special gaming rooms, shisha (hookah) cafes, and salons.
