ROME: Two merchant vessels near the Italian coast have recovered the bodies of two migrants and rescued 32 survivors from a boat attempting to cross the Mediterranean from Libya to Europe over the Easter weekend.

According to rescue charities citing survivor accounts, 71 other people are feared lost at sea.

The survivors reported that their vessel was originally carrying 105 passengers when it capsized.
