BUDPEST: Prime Minister Viktor Orbán of Hungary conceded defeat on Sunday as the opposition Tisza party, led by Péter Magyar, swept to a historic parliamentary majority.

Final turnout reached a record 78%, the highest since Hungary’s transition to democracy.
