Pacquiao given senior rank in Philippine army reserves

The armed forces is formally recognising Pacquiao's indirect contributions to the military by giving him a senior officer rank.

Manila: Boxing icon Manny Pacquiao had been given the rank of lieutenant colonel in the army reserves in recognition of his contributions to uplifting the morale of Filipino soldiers and the nation.

The armed forces is formally recognising his indirect contributions to the military by giving him a senior officer rank.

Pacquiao, who previously held the rank of senior master sergeant is a Sarangani province congressional representative.
