Dubai: The Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives has launched the URAAN Summer Scholars Program, a groundbreaking opportunity for Overseas Pakistani students to actively participate in shaping the future of their homeland.

This 6-week, fully funded summer internship invites high-achieving students of Pakistani origin from around the world to contribute to Pakistan’s national development, work with policymakers, and gain real-world experience in governance under the URAAN Pakistan 5Es framework—Exports, E-Pakistan, Environment, Energy, and Equity & Empowerment.

Why overseas Pakistani youth

Overseas Pakistanis represent one of the country’s greatest untapped assets. With world-class education, global exposure, and diverse experiences, Pakistani students studying abroad are uniquely positioned to bring fresh perspectives, innovative thinking, and global best practices back home.

The program also aims to strengthen ties between the Pakistani diaspora and the country's institutions and to inspire a culture of return, service, and collaboration among young Pakistanis abroad.
