The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched a Temporary Mobile Registration System to assist overseas Pakistanis and foreign nationals visiting the country, according to media reports.
Under the new initiative, visitors can register their personal mobile devices for up to 120 days during each visit to Pakistan, PTA said in a news release.
The move is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted mobile connectivity and smoother communication for travellers throughout their stay.
The registration process is free, fully digital, and available through the official Device Registration System (DRS) portal at https://dirbs.pta.gov.pk/drs, according to the statement.
The PTA emphasized its commitment to providing efficient and innovative digital services focused on user convenience, noting that the system would help deliver a seamless mobile experience for all visitors across the country.
