Boy brutally tortured in Kashmore

Kashmore: A boy was brutally tortured for defying orders of jirga (unelected council of elders) in the district here.

A jirga headed by landlord Ahmed Ali Khoosa was held on March 28 to settle a dispute of 45-acre land wherein it was decided that 5-acre portion of land will be given to a boy named Khadim Hussain, who was real owner of the property.

However, Hussain refused to accept the verdict of jirga.

Raged at the move, the felons patronised by the landlord attacked the boy today, tortured him badly and threatened him of abduction.

The courageous boy again reached the office with a hope to get justice.

He said the landlord wanted to occupy his land through compulsion.
