Monalisa Bhosle, the social media sensation who rose to gained at the Mahakumbh Mela, took her first flight on February 14th, traveling to Kozhikode, Kerala. A video capturing her first airplane experience quickly went viral, delighting her followers.
The trip was to attend a jewellers showroom inauguration hosted by businessman Boby Chemmanur, known as "BoChe," who had earlier announced the event in a viral Instagram video.
"Viral star of Kumbh Mela Monalisa on February 14th reaching Chemmanur, Kozhikode at 10:30 am," Chemmanur wrote on Instagram, sharing the news of her visit.
Fans flooded the comments with messages of support, with one user commenting, "That was great. Let the poor also inaugurate from now on," and another adding, "Don't make fun of anyone; no one is small. One moment is enough to change your life."
Her arrival sparked a frenzy both online and on-site, as many gathered to catch a glimpse of the viral star. Dressed elegantly in a red dress, she posed for pictures with fans.
Monalisa arrived in a vehicle owned by "BoChe." A large crowd had gathered outside the showroom, eagerly waiting for her. As she stepped onto the stage, fans and photographers scrambled to capture the moment, with Monalisa smiling and waving to everyone.
A video shared by the popular Instagram account 'Kozhikode To You' showed Monalisa speaking a few words in Malayalam, much to the surprise and delight of the crowd. She also joined BoChe in a dance, adding to the excitement of the event.
A viral video captured the moment when BoChe placed a diamond necklace around Monalisa’s neck, further fueling the buzz around her appearance.
Recently, Boby Chemmanur was arrested by Kerala Police following allegations of making obscene remarks towards Malayalam actor Honey Rose. He was booked under Section 75 of the BNS (sexual harassment) and Section 67 of the IT Act, stemming from a complaint filed by Rose.
Monalisa, originally from Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh, gained widespread attention at the Mahakumbh Mela, where she was selling Rudraksha beads with her family. Her captivating presence at the event quickly went viral, garnering over 15 million views. Known for her amber eyes, dusky complexion, and long braided hair, she earned the nickname "brown beauty," with many comparing her to the famous Mona Lisa.
In just two weeks, Monalisa's life took a dramatic turn. Her striking appearance and radiant smile catapulted her to social media fame, opening doors to the entertainment industry. She has since received film offers and is set to appear in the upcoming film "The Diary of Manipur," directed by Sanoj Mishra.
Despite her newfound fame, Monalisa has faced numerous challenges. The overwhelming attention at the Mahakumbh Mela disrupted her work, with crowds flocking to her stall for selfies and Instagram reels. This eventually led her to leave the event and return home.
Monalisa also shared an unfortunate incident where a group of men chased her for photos despite her repeated refusals. When her brother intervened to delete unauthorized pictures, he was allegedly attacked by nine men. Additionally, her Instagram account was hacked shortly after her return to Madhya Pradesh, causing her further distress. She later shared her frustrations and gave her followers a glimpse into her life at home.
