Chandigarh: In a major breakthrough against trans-border drug smuggling, Punjab Police has dismantled a smuggling network linked to US-based kingpin Jasmit Singh, alias Lucky.

The Punjab government has intensified its crackdown on drug cartels under the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ (War Against Drugs) campaign. On February 28, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann vowed to make Punjab drug-free within three months, ordering top police and administrative officials to dismantle smuggling networks.
