Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samiti President K Chandrasekhar Raos’ assets have increased by Rs70 million (Dh3.572m) over the last four and a half years.

According to an affidavit he filed before the electoral officer in his constituency Gajwel along with his nomination papers total assets of the Chief Minister stood at Rs226 million, up from Rs151.5 million he had declared before 2014 elections.

64 year old KCR who is seeking re-election from the same constituency, has declared his profession as agriculturist and put his annual income at Rs9.15 million lakh during the last financial year. While this income was tax free, he paid Rs1.10 crore as tax on other incomes.

His assets include movable properties worth Rs104 million and immovable properties of Rs1.22 million.

He informed the authorities like in 2014 he did not own any car at present and owes an amount of Rs8.4 million to his son and minister K Taraka Rama Rao and Rs2.4 million to his daughter-in-law K Shailima.

The other disclosures by the Chief Minister include 63 criminal cases booked against him. He also declared that he did not have any social media accounts including Facebook and Twitter.

Among the ministers of KCR, T Harish Rao declared assets of Rs2.4 crore. State finance minister Etala Rajender was the riches with assets of Rs42 crore in his and his wife Jamuna’s name. their combined liabilities stood at Rs21.5 crore in the form of loans.

Among the poorest leaders of TRS was the former Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary. Total assets of Chary and his wife were Rs63 lakhs and liability was a bank loan of Rs7.4 lakh.
