India: Newlyweds, parents killed as car collides with bus in Kerala

The deceased were returning from Thiruvananthapuram when the accident took place

Pathanamthitta: Four family members were killed in a car crash involving a minibus in Pathanamthitta district, in the southern Indian state of Kerala, on Sunday morning, police said.

The family was returning from Thiruvananthapuram when the accident took place. Around 4:15 am (local time) near Mallassery in Pathanamthitta, their car collided with a minibus carrying Ayyappa devotees from Telangana to Sabarimala.

The victims were identified as Mathew Eapen, his son Nikhil, Nikhil's wife Anu, and Anu's father Biju.

Nikhil and Anu had married on November 30 and were returning from their honeymoon in Malaysia. Mathew Eapen and Biju had gone to pick them up from the Thiruvananthapuram airport.
