Billionaire Gautam Adani's youngest son, Jeet Adani, married Diva Jaimin Shah on Friday in a private ceremony in Ahmedabad.

The wedding, steeped in Gujarati and Jain traditions, was an intimate affair, attended by close family and friends. Diva is the daughter of diamond merchant Jaimin Shah.

Gautam Adani shared glimpses of the wedding on social media, expressing his joy: "With the blessings of Almighty God, Jeet and Diva tied the sacred knot today in Ahmedabad, with traditional rituals and Shubh Mangal Bhaav among loved ones. It was a small, private function, and while we couldn’t invite all well-wishers, I apologize and ask for your blessings for my daughter Diva and Jeet," he wrote in Hindi, which was translated on X.

Wedding ceremony video goes viral

While the event remained private, a heartwarming video of the couple exchanging garlands has since gone viral.

A video from the wedding shows Diva Shah walking down the aisle in a stunning maroon and ivory lehenga, while Jeet Adani waits for her with a smile.

During the varmala ceremony, they exchanged garlands, and a touching moment followed when Jeet kissed Diva on the forehead, symbolising their love and respect.

Simple and traditional as promised

The wedding reflected Gautam Adani's earlier commitment to keeping the event simple and traditional. Speaking at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj before the ceremony, he had said, "Our activities are like common people. His marriage will be simple and traditional." The celebration, though modest, was deeply meaningful, with the couple surrounded by their loved ones.

Ahead of his wedding, Jeet Adani, launched "Mangal Seva," a program to support newly married women with disabilities. Initially, the initiative will provide Rs 1 million annually to 500 such women. Days before his wedding to Diva Shah in Ahmedabad, Jeet met 21 newly married Divyang women to kick off the program. This generous gesture underscores their dedication to social causes.

The initiative aligns with Gautam Adani's social philosophy of service, with Jeet and Diva pledging to uplift the lives of disabled women and their families.

All about Jeet Adani

Jeet, who oversees Adani Airport Holdings and other sectors, has been actively involved in philanthropy, particularly supporting people with disabilities. His efforts include partnerships with the Adani Foundation and various projects aimed at improving education, skills, and livelihood opportunities for differently-abled individuals.

The Adani Foundation has long worked on initiatives like Swavalamban, while Jeet's recent contributions include facilitating collaborations with the Gujarat Government and promoting inclusion at Adani airports through Mitti Cafes, which provide employment for people with disabilities.
