The man claimed he had stopped momentarily to cut an incoming call

A three-vehicle pile-up occurred on a flyover in Kerala's capital city, Thiruvananthapuram, on Sunday after a man allegedly stopped his car on the one-way stretch to attend a phone call, according to media reports.
According to a Manorama News report, two vehicles rammed into the stationary car, causing one to overturn on the Kazhakootam flyover. The driver of the overturned vehicle sustained injury and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Stopping is prohibited on the Kazhakootam flyover, and the incident triggered brief chaos as approaching vehicles were unable to brake in time. All three vehicles were headed towards Kollam.
The man claimed he had stopped momentarily to cut an incoming call. However, other drivers alleged he was actively speaking on the phone when he brought the car to a halt.
