A woman from Telangana, India murdered her mother with the help of her boyfriend and allegedly stayed three days with the body.

The incident occurred in Munaganuru village on the outskirts of Hyderabad city on October 18 but came to light only ten days later on Monday, after police arrested the accused, according to a report by India Today.

Keerthy Reddy, a 19-year-old, killed her mother Rajitha, who was 39 at the time of her death. Reportedly, Keerthy killed her murder because she objected on her having an affair with two men.

According to Indian media reports, Keerthy strangled her parent to death while her accomplice, her boyfriend, held her feet.

They kept the body at home and spent three days together. Unable to cover up the smell any longer, the duos dumped the body on a railway track.

After the victim’s husband and perpetrator’s father, Srinivas Reddy, returned home, Keerthy claimed to ignorant about her mother’s whereabouts.

She told her father that she had gone to another city and upon returning, failed to find her mother.

Srinivas lodged a complaint with the police, which grew suspicious due to inconsistency in the statements given by Keerthy. She confessed to the crime after being interrogated.

Police said further investigations were ongoing, India Today reported.
