St. Clair shared the news on X, stating, “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”
She emphasised her desire for her child to grow up in a safe, private environment and requested the media respect her wishes, refraining from invasive reporting.
St. Clair later posted a follow-up thanking people for their kind words, but expressing regret over the need to make the announcement.
Her post concluded with the Latin phrase “Alea Iacta Est,” meaning “The die is cast.”
