New York firefighters respond to blaze at Trump Tower
Department says fire is minor and likely caused by an electrical fault
The New York fire department responded to a blaze at Trump Tower on Monday morning.
News footage showed firefighters on the roof of the skyscraper, at East 57th Street and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. The New York fire department said the fire broke out at 6:58 am.
Donald Trump, who keeps a residence in the tower, was at the White House in Washington DC.
Two people had minor injuries after a blaze broke out in a cooling unit on a Trump Tower roof deck Monday morning, according to New York officials.
Fire Department of New York Chief Roger Sakowich said one firefighter was hurt when debris fell on top of him and an engineer had injuries but refused treatment after the blaze that broke out on President Donald Trump's namesake skyscraper.
Meanwhile, a video showing firefighters dancing had become viral.
