American tourist found dead inside Brazil forest

Rio de Janeiro: Brazilian police say the body on an American tourist has been found on a trail inside Rio de Janeiro’s Tijuca Forest.

Police say they are investigating the death, which occurred Friday morning. The G1 news portal says the tourist apparently died after falling into a ravine.

A statement by police says three people have been questioned, including two of the tourist’s friends who were with him inside the park and alerted forest guards to his death.
