Robber turns hero: Thief rescues family from deadly gas leak in Tunisia

Dubai: What began as an attempted robbery turned into an act of unexpected heroism in Tunisia, when a young man broke into a home only to find the entire family unconscious due to a gas leak and saved their lives.

According to local reports circulating on Tunisian social media, the man entered the house late at night with plans to steal.

But upon discovering the family lying unconscious, overcome by fumes from a gas leak, he immediately opened the windows to ventilate the home and ran to alert neighbors.

Emergency services were called, and the family was rushed to a nearby hospital, where all members survived thanks to his quick response.

In a remarkable twist, the man later admitted he had broken in with the intent to rob the house, driven by severe financial hardship.

Instead of pressing charges, the family chose to reward his actions, forgiving his intentions and even helping him repay his debts.
