Woman dies after car catches fire in collision in Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah: A 42-year-old Emirati woman died when her car went up in flames after she crashed into a truck.

The woman was driving her car when she suddenly swerved and hit a truck, then swerved again and hit the metal barrier.

The truck overturned due to the collision, but the driver, A 31-year-old Asian, was unhurt.

Colonel Yaqoub Abdullah Al Haddad, Director of Al Diqdaqa police station, said an ambulance, police and rescue teams rushed to the scene, but the woman had already died on the spot from the collision and the fire.
