Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued red and yellow fog alerts across parts of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafrah regions. Foggy weather conditions are expected to continue until 9 am, today.

An alert issued by the NCM, states there will be a “deterioration in horizontal visibility, which may drop even further at times over some internal and coastal areas until 9 am.”

Red and yellow fog alerts were issued over Jabal Ali in Dubai, Ghantout and Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi, Sweihan in Al Ain, and over east of Madinat Zayed in Al Dhafrah region.

The highest temperature is expected to be between 27 and 31 degree Celsius over coastal and island regions. Temperature lows will be between 15 and 20 degree Celsius.

Residents can expect light to moderate winds across the country, with speeds reaching up to 30 km/hr.

According to the NCM forecasts, partly cloudy conditions can be expected from Sunday, February 23, onwards, with a probability of light rainfall over some northern, coastal and eastern areas until Tuesday, February 25.

A decrease in temperatures is also expected on Monday and Tuesday, February 24 and 25, respectively.
