UAE weather alert: Rising temperatures and high humidity expected

Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has provided an update on the weather conditions across the UAE today, indicating predominantly fair skies. A few clouds are expected to form in the eastern regions, while temperatures are anticipated to rise gradually throughout the day.

Along the coastal areas and islands, temperatures will range from 37°C to 42°C. Inland, the heat intensifies, with temperatures soaring between 41°C and 46°C. In the mountainous regions, a cooler but still warm range of 30°C to 35°C.

Humidity levels are projected to be high, varying between 60 per cent and 80 per cent, leading to a sticky atmosphere, particularly during the night and into Saturday morning in some coastal zones.

Light to moderate breezes from the southeast to northwest will occasionally strengthen throughout the day, causing dust to blow in certain areas. Wind speeds are expected to reach between 10 and 20 km/h, with gusts possibly reaching up to 35 km/h.

The sea conditions will be relatively calm, with slight waves anticipated in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, making it a suitable day for those wishing to venture out onto the water.
