UAE weather alert: Red and yellow fog alert issued in these parts of the country

The Met Office advised motorists in the region to drive with caution

Dubai: Red and yellow fog alerts were issued across parts of the country this morning, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Foggy weather conditions are expected to continue until 9.30am.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), red and yellow fog alerts were issued over Jabal Ali, Emirates Road and Al Minhad in Dubai, over Razeen, Arjan, Ajban regions in Abu Dhabi, and over Ni’mah street in Al Ain, and over Al Ain and Abu Dhabi road.

Fog alerts were also issued over Jisaywrah, Mukhayriz, Al Zarraf, Asab, Abu Qrayn, Hamim and several other regions in Al Dhafra.

Additionally, a safety alert was issued for motorists in the region, urging them to follow safety measures while driving during fog.

The alert issued by NCM also states, “deterioration in horizontal visibility, which may drop even further at times over some internal and coastal areas until 9.30am Friday, March 28.”

The highest temperatures today is expected to be between 24 and 29 degree Celsius, while temperature lows will be between 10 and 15 degree Celsius over coastal and island regions.

Light to moderate winds with speeds up to 35 km/hr is expected across the country today.
