Dubai: According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the weather in and around coastal areas is currently slightly warm and humid, with temperatures around 36°C. As the day progresses, temperatures are expected to decrease, and predominantly cloudy skies are anticipated, with some cloud cover at times.

The NCM reported scattered rainfall across various parts of the country from May 12 to May 16, particularly in the eastern regions. The meteorological office has also indicated a slight decrease in temperatures.

Ras al Khaimah, Fujairah, and parts of Sharjah will experience cloud cover during the afternoons this week. According to the NCM forecast, high temperatures will range from 40°C to 43°C, while lows will be between 17°C and 22°C.

The current weather is influenced by a weak surface low-pressure system from the east and a high-pressure system from the west, along with an upper air high-pressure system. Light to moderate winds may occasionally freshen, causing blowing dust during the daytime. The sea conditions will be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
