Dubai: Just when Dubai residents thought it was all sun and dust, the skies surprised with a light but welcome drizzle. This afternoon, while much of the city baked under scorching heat and swirling dust, parts of Al Ain and the Dubai-Al Ain Road saw a rare splash of rain.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) confirmed light to moderate rainfall over Shwaib in Al Ain and stretches along Dubai-Al Ain Road toward Al Hyar. Social media was quick to capture the moment—storm_ae shared vivid footage of the rain-soaked Al Hair Road, a refreshing sight for many amid the relentless heat.

Amid ongoing rainy weather, Abu Dhabi Police have issued a safety advisory urging motorists to drive carefully and follow the variable speed limits displayed on electronic information boards. Authorities emphasize the importance of adjusting driving behavior to changing road conditions to prevent accidents. Drivers are reminded to stay alert and prioritize safety during wet and slippery conditions.

Looking ahead, the NCM predicts partly cloudy skies with more rain chances east and south, along with increasing humidity and the possibility of early morning fog and mist in western coastal and inland areas. Winds will pick up, stirring dust storms, while seas range from slight to moderate.

So, while the rain may cool things down momentarily, residents should brace for fluctuating conditions—dust, drizzle, and everything in between—as the UAE’s unpredictable summer weather continues.
