The visit comes as the UAE continues to strengthen food security through advanced infrastructure and close coordination between the public and private sectors.

Bin Touq said the country has adopted a proactive approach to managing strategic stockpiles and supply chains, with authorities monitoring inventory levels daily and conducting regular assessments to ensure sufficient supply of essential goods.

“The UAE, under the guidance of its wise leadership, has developed advanced food security infrastructure based on global best practices, with local flour production playing a central role in meeting market demand and supporting strategic reserves,” Bin Touq said.

He added that the ministry works closely with economic departments and relevant authorities to monitor stock levels daily across suppliers and retail outlets, conducting precise assessments to ensure sufficient availability of essential goods.

The minister highlighted the growing role of local mills in meeting domestic demand and expanding the presence of UAE food products in international markets.

Salmeen Al Ameri, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Agthia Group, said Grand Mills plays a key role in maintaining stable supplies, supported by efficient operations and resilient supply chains.
