New Year 2025 in Dubai: All you need to know about free parking, metro, tram, bus, ferry timings

Dubai: As hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors gear up to celebrate New Year in Dubai, RTA on Friday announced extended timings for Dubai Metro, tram, buses and ferries urging public to use public transport.

Dubai Metro and Tram will run for 43 hours continuously. Dubai Metro will start operation at 5am on December 31 and continue to operate until midnight on January 1. Dubai Tram will run from 6am on December 31 to 1am January 2.

All public parking areas will be free of charge (except multi-storey parking) on Wednesday, 1 January 2025, for the New Year’s holiday. Paid parking will resume on Thursday, 2 January 2025.

According to the RTA, Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed on Wednesday, 1 January 2025, for the New Year’s holiday. Regular working hours will resume on Thursday, January 2 2025, as per the standard schedule.

Meanwhile, Route E100: The E100 bus route from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station will be suspended from December 31 2024 to January 1, 2025. Passengers are advised to use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi during this period.

Route E102: The E102 bus route from Al Jafiliya Bus Station will be suspended from December 31, 2024 to January 1, 2025. Passengers are advised to use the same route from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Shabiya Musaffah during this period.
