Dubai Police has officially launched its 2025 Summer Programme for students, which will run from June 30 to July 31. The programme promises a month filled with learning, adventure, and leadership training.

Organised by the General Department of Anti-Narcotics through the Hemaya International Centre, the summer camp carries the theme:

"Our Summer: Safety, Happiness, Innovation, and Leadership."

It is held under the patronage of Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and is open to students of all ages and nationalities.

The programme is being organised in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA),and several government and private entities, along with multiple departments within Dubai Police.

Bringing the community together

The launch was announced during a press conference at the Dubai Police Officers Club. The event was attended by several key officials, including Engineer Tariq Al Hashmi from the Ministry of Education, Expert Major General Dr. Muhammad Issa Al Adhab, Chairman of the Police Stations Directors Council, and senior Dubai Police officers.

Al Hashmi praised the strong partnership between the Ministry and Dubai Police, describing the summer camps as a national success story. He stressed that these initiatives not only build skills but also instil Emirati values in young people. The Ministry is supporting the programme by providing training centres and 45 buses to make it easy for students to attend.

Expert Major General Al Adhab highlighted Dubai Police’s commitment to creating meaningful summer experiences that keep students engaged after the school year ends.

“These programmes help students grow into responsible citizens who understand the law, love their country, and know how to stay out of trouble,” he said.

Shaping future leaders

Brigadier Khalid bin Muwaiza explained that raising strong, capable students is a responsibility that all institutions must share.

He said this summer’s activities follow carefully designed scientific methods that help develop important values and leadership qualities in students.

The programme will take place in 16 training centres, including schools and specialised Dubai Police locations such as:

  • Hamdan Bin Rashid Secondary School for Boys

  • Zayed Educational Complex – Oud Al Muteena

  • Zayed Educational Complex – Al Warqaa

  • Hatta 1 Basic Education School

  • Zayed Educational Complex –Al Barsha North

  • Zayed Educational Complex –Al Barsha South

  • Asma Bint Al Noman Model School

  • Rashid Bin Saeed Basic and Secondary School in Hatta

Specialised centres will also participate, including:

  • General Department of Criminal Investigation

  • Mounted Police Station

  • 901  Call Centre

  • General Department of Protective Security and Emergency

  • General Department of Transport and Rescue

  • K9 Security Inspection Department

Programmes and Activities

This year’s programme includes 13 activities, such as:

  • Young Investigator Course

  • Diving

  • Swimming

  • Military and fitness training

  • Future Officer Programme

  • 901 Call Centre Training

  • K9 Police Dogs Course

  • Cycling Course

  • Horse Care Course

  • K9 Care and Welfare Programme

In addition to awareness lectures and field visits

375,000+ students

Brigadier Dr. Abdulrahman Al Maamari highlighted that over the past three years, 375,741 students from 175 nationalities have benefited from the Centre’s student programmes, with 505 awareness activities carried out across public and private schools.

Summer 2024 participation

In 2024, the summer programme drew 1,136 students from 31 nationalities, including 633 males and 503 females. They represented 52 public and 29 private schools across 58 residential areas in Dubai. Of the total, 816 were Emirati students and 320 were expatriates.

40 Strategic Partners

Brigadier bin Muwaiza extended his thanks to the strategic partners, commending their vital role and continuous support that has allowed the seasonal programmes to evolve and expand. He noted that the success of the initiative was due to the provision of suitable facilities such as air-conditioned school halls, transportation to and from training sites, and the availability of qualified trainers across different locations. These efforts have also included training targeted groups in specialised activities.

A total of 40 government, semi-government, and Dubai Police departments and stations are participating as strategic partners in this year’s summer programme.
