Dubai: A man died and another sustained moderate injuries in a car crash around 11am near the Festival City Tunnel in Dubai.
The first driver, a Pakistani, was driving in the Bur Dubai direction when he swerved out of his lane, hitting the pavement and crossing to the other side of the road. He then crashed into a car that was heading toward Garhoud. He died on the spot.
The driver of the other car sustained moderate injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The collision caused a traffic jam in the area until the two cars were removed at around 12:30pm.
