Dubai: Unnerved when yet another car crashed into their villa wall on Thursday morning, the fourth time in as many years, the young couple now wish to leave their home.

"This time we did not hear any screeching [of tyres], just a loud sound," said Sabrina, who has been living with her husband in a villa at The Springs since they purchased it in 2006. "My heart still skips a beat when I hear a car screech regardless of where I am," she says.

The motorist fled after the crash that wrecked their garden wall, but inadvertently left his number plate behind. "The police are tracing him," she said.

The last time a motorist ran down their boundary wall late last year, Sabrina's husband had been sitting in the garden until a few moments earlier. "The bricks came flying where he had been sitting," she said, completely unnerved now that they have a baby who plays in the garden.

After the third accident, the real estate company set up barricades in front of the wall. But it apparently did not help as the unidentified motorist tore through them with enough force to still bring down the wall.

The couple is scouting for another two-bedroom villa in The Springs to relocate and will be meeting executives of the company to help them move. "If my sister and mother-in-law were not coming to visit us we would have moved into a studio," said the worried mother.

Roundabout nearby

The villa is located next to a roundabout and a speeding or inebriated motorist could hit its wall. "Usually we hear screeching, a big bang and then the sound of bricks falling," said Sabrina. Last year it happened two times just one month apart, she said. The first accident was in the year they purchased their villa.

A taxi driver who had slammed into their wall earlier, felt so bad that he had got his friends later to help them rebuild their wall.
