Set to a repertoire of popular music, a 'star-studded' troupe of fascinating life-sized rod puppets, marionettes and glove puppets perform a show that captures the imagination of children and adults throughout Dubai's malls.

The Australian Murray Raine Puppet show is an act that has won numerous awards, offering non-stop and high energy action that never allows boredom to set in.

Created by Murray, each puppet averages one metre in height and features truly spectacular costumes fashioned by some of Australia's leading theatre costume designers.

"The Murray Raine Puppet show draws on a long tradition of puppet shows in Europe and Asia – famed for its shadow puppet shows," says Yousuf Mubarak, In-Mall events manager, Dubai Summer Surprises.

"The art form is totally captivating and the numerous puppet characters that the show introduces to the audience are utterly amazing."

Visitors can enjoy the spectacle of a koala bear on a trapeze, a French can-can show, a crazy rock n' roll band and an enormous skeleton that is capable of moving every bone in its body, much to the amusement of the audience present.

The Murray Raine Puppet show complements the many acts and exhibitions that form the Art Surprises week, organised by the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department.

Visitors can witness the magic of the Murray Raine Puppet Cabaret in the Al Bustan Centre from 7.30 to 8 pm and from 9 to 9.30pm.
