Soap actor figures in real life drama

Wife of soap actor Lito Pimentel, Ma. Chrysantine Pimentel, a businesswoman, filed charges against him, saying that he tried to kill her when she said she was not satisfied with him.

In a two-page charge sheet which she filed before the prosecutor's office in suburban Quezon City, she said that on February 9, they met for dinner, and when she expressed her dissatisfaction with him, the soap actor allegedly took a knife from the kitchen and poked it at her.

"He told me, 'Do you think that I could not kill you?'" the wife reported, adding, "He hit me. When I fell to the floor, he kicked and punched me.

"When he tried to stab me, I was able to parry the knife which grazed my thigh. I thought I would die, it was a good thing that someone came into the kitchen, and our fight ended," said the wife.
