Two thrilling races promise adventure for participants of all ages

Sharjah: The Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) on Friday announced the return of the highly anticipated Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) Tigers Challenge, set to take place on February 1 and 8, 2025, at the iconic Khorfakkan Amphitheatre on Sharjah’s beautiful east coast.
This unique event invites professional athletes, amateurs, and children alike to compete in a series of exciting and challenging obstacle courses, all amid the stunning natural beauty of Khorfakkan.
First race
The first race, scheduled for Saturday, February 1, will feature a thrilling 400-meter course designed for individuals and teams. This fast-paced event will test participants’ speed and agility as they navigate various obstacles, making for an exciting competition for all skill levels.
The second race, taking place the following Saturday, February 8, will offer more variety and challenges. Adults can choose between two course lengths: a 4-kilometer or an 8-kilometer race, each designed to push participants’ endurance and determination.
Younger participants
Meanwhile, younger participants, ages 4 to 14, can join in on the action with shorter courses of 600 meters or 1,200 meters, ensuring that the event caters to all ages and abilities.
The OCR Tigers Challenge aligns with Sharjah’s commitment to promoting healthy living and encouraging community engagement in sports. The event will take place at the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, which beautifully blends Islamic and Roman architectural influences while offering breathtaking views of the coastal landscape. Participants will have a chance to test their physical limits and experience the thrill of competing in an event like no other.
