Yearly event is part of the charity’s efforts to bring happiness to people
Just before Eid Al Adha, the Volunteer and Community Service Office at Sharjah Charity Association launched a special initiative called “Eid Treats.” This yearly event is part of the charity’s efforts to bring happiness to people and share the spirit of Eid with those who are going through tough times.
This year, the initiative focused on children whose parents are in correctional and rehabilitation centers. With support from Sharjah Police, the team handed out small cash gifts, sweets, and water, and organised fun activities that filled the day with smiles and laughter. The children felt the joy of Eid, and their families were touched by the gesture, especially during times when many are facing financial challenges.
Mohammed Al Mulla, Director of the Volunteer and Community Service Office, said the initiative shows the charity’s strong connection to the community. “This is not just about giving things away,” he said. “It’s about bringing happiness and making children feel they belong.”
Al Mulla also praised the volunteers who helped plan and run the event. Their efforts made the day feel like a real celebration. He thanked the kind donors whose support made everything possible and confirmed that the charity will continue to launch projects that help people and bring the community closer together.
