Spectacular light and sound shows at Qasr Al Watan
Abu Dhabi: The Eid Al Fitr holiday in Abu Dhabi has seen a significant turnout at parks, beaches, and cultural and tourist sites.
Visitors have flocked to these destinations to enjoy the pleasant weather, which has encouraged both outdoor leisure and indoor entertainment experiences.
Qasr Al Watan welcomed visitors with a unique blend of tradition and entertainment. Guests were captivated by the breathtaking light and sound show, which transformed the palace’s façade into a mesmerizing visual spectacle. This immersive experience took audiences on a journey through the UAE’s rich heritage, its remarkable present, and its ambitious vision for the future. The harmonious interplay of lights and sounds brought the palace to life, creating an extraordinary artistic masterpiece.
The palace also hosted an equestrian performance, showcasing the UAE’s deep-rooted equestrian traditions. This grand display celebrated the beauty of Arabian horses, the discipline of skilled riders, and the nation’s enduring passion for equestrian heritage.
Qasr Al Watan offers a variety of cultural and historical experiences, both indoors and outdoors. Among the most notable is the light and sound show—a three-part visual journey that uses cutting-edge audiovisual technology to reflect the nation’s legacy and progress. The show employs 52 state-of-the-art projectors, ensuring a seamless and immersive experience. A dedicated technical team ensures flawless execution, making real-time adjustments to maintain the highest visual quality.
The light and sound show takes place every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 PM, lasting 15 minutes and providing a magnificent spectacle that celebrates the grandeur of Qasr Al Watan.
Additionally, the palace hosted a military band performance, where powerful rhythms and harmonious melodies came together in a vibrant display of unity and cultural pride. This musical performance aimed to bring people together through the universal language of music.
Families gathered at Umm Al Emarat Park and various other green spaces across Abu Dhabi, enjoying a relaxing environment perfect for picnics and leisure. Children delighted in free play areas provided by the municipality, while others relaxed on lush green lawns or socialized at designated barbecue spots.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi’s beaches, including Corniche Beach, Al Bateen, Hudayriyat, and Saadiyat, experienced a surge in visitors eager to swim and participate in water sports.
Shopping malls were also bustling, as Abu Dhabi’s 33+ shopping centers and markets offered a vibrant retail experience during the festive season.
