Abu Dhabi: In a recent consumer poll conducted in the UAE, three quarters of the survey respondents said they would be worried if their e-mail communications were being stored by an independent organisation location outside the country.
The survey results also stated that 58 per cent of the respondents would be worried if the mobile applications they used were beyond the reach of the UAE court system. Emirati males represented the largest group of concerned respondents.
Further results from the consumer poll conducted in the UAE included that nine of 10 respondents agree that UAE National Security is the responsibility of all citizens and residents, not only the government.
The question formed part of a national survey that queried Blackberry subscribers in the UAE.
