Poll respondents agree high-rise buildings to close together

Nearly three-quarters of Gulf News readers who took part in an online poll believe that high-rise buildings in the UAE are built too close together.

In the survey on the Gulf News website, 74.5 per cent agreed that there was insufficient space between apartment blocks, while 20.6 per cent disagreed. The remainder were undecided.

The poll was conducted from June 2 to June 4 and followed a Special Report in the newspaper which highlighted health and environmental problems faced by residents of high-rise buildings.

Meanwhile, in an earlier online poll, 58.3 per cent of those who took part said they believed mobile phones cause health problems, 23.6 per cent said they were undecided and 18.1 per cent said they do not believe mobile phones cause health problems.
