The foster placement followed a comprehensive evaluation process, says official
Sharjah: In a moving testament to compassion and community values, an Emirati family has opened its heart and home to a fourth foster child through the Child Care Home, part of the Sharjah Social Services Department.
This marks the fourth successful foster placement in 2025, reflecting the UAE’s enduring commitment to mercy, solidarity, and the well-being of every child.
Evaluation
The foster placement followed a comprehensive evaluation process, ensuring the family met all approved social, psychological, and financial criteria set by the department. These assessments are designed to guarantee that every child is placed in a nurturing, stable, and secure environment that supports their growth and emotional development.
Meaningful step
Hanan Al Khayal, director of the Child Care Home, highlighted the significance of the initiative, calling it a meaningful step toward strengthening humanitarian values within society.
She encouraged more Emirati families to consider fostering, emphasising the life-changing impact such a decision can have—not only for the child but for the entire community.
“This is more than just providing a home,” she said. “It’s about restoring a sense of belonging, love, and hope. The reward is immense, and the difference it makes is beyond measure,” she added.
